HOT JOB ALERT!

We are seeking an intellectually incongruous yes-man or woman in sunny London. If you are seeking top pay plus benefits, working in an amazing place with amazing people then contact our Bob.

Disclaimer: Bob and the job role is fictional, everything else is a real job advert.

Any recruiter knows there’s nothing ‘hot’ about a job opportunity. Saying a job is ‘hot’ or ‘amazing’ says more about you than the job. It says you don’t understand who your potential candidates are.

If you want your advert to reach as many people as possible, try these tips:

  • Show candidates what it is like to work there - bring the workplace to life through a testimonial, a fun image, the joys of a project’s success and teamwork.

  • Take a photo of the work environment - prospective applicants like to get a feel for where they could end up spending so many hours of their week

  • Capture authentic expressions and environment through photos – use the workplace and socialising, rather than posting generic images of anonymous employees - this creates no atmosphere, tells no story

Generic images selling services are like a sea of noise and your job, your brand, will get lost in there if it doesn’t jump out at those you want to engage with, just like Bobs advert.

Don’t be afraid to be descriptive - through words and visuals. It will help you as a recruiter, and your applicants make a better choice, resulting in a good fit for both.

It’s a little bit of effort for a whole lot of gain..
